Life is always a combination of sorrows and pleasures. The body and soul have an intimate relation and when one is restless, the other also suffers. Sorrows and grief are a part of life, but God Almighty has also created remedies for them. He has been selecting messengers who have been showing the right path to humanity for worldly and spiritual matters. A group of people led by Haji Zafar Iqbal Dar took the initiative and founded the Kashmir Welfare Society. The society is registered by the government as a Welfare Organization and is run on non-profits basis. Its accounts are audited by a firm of Charted Accountants. The purpose of starting this organization was to serve the humanity and we hope to continue on this cause. KWS is successfully running the following projects
Allama Iqbal Memorial Trust Hospital (AIMTH) through which we hope to provide the best possible care according to the needs to each patient. The hospital is equipped with the latest medical equipment and competent staff.
Tuberculosis is an extremely rampant disease in Pakistan. It has been identified as a DOTS lagging country by the WHO. The society is playing its part in aiding the government of Pakistan in making the country up to mark with the international dots agenda through this venture.
The reproductive health sector in Pakistan is lagging behind acceptable standards because of lack of well educated and competent professionals. At the NATPOW clinic we provide free consultation, free checkups and free medicines to all the patients through a qualified gynecologist.
The society has also under taken a venture to establish a nursing college in our community so that highly skilled staff can be arranged for patients. At the School of midwifery we provide a highly skilled teaching staff, a modern library, lecture rooms, demonstration rooms and hostel facilities.
The KWS runs its projects by the generous donations of various benefactors and organizations. We are extremely thankful to those people and appeal to others to make the donations because these people need us. A small contribution by us may give them their life.
